ONE TO ONE FULL NVR COURSE

This is a set ten week programme where you'll be taken through the full NVR programme on a one to one basis. Each session will provide the opportunity to discuss and think about your unique circumstances. It's great if all the adults in a home can be part of the sessions, but not necessary. Single parents/carers are very welcome to bring a friend along to sessions.

I can offer sessions during the day, in the evening, or at weekends. Support can be provided at home, if you're local to Whitley Bay, or online.

So long as parents are in agreement, a brief report can be provided at the end, summarising the work carried out and making recommendations about what might be needed going forward. This is at no extra cost.

ONE TO ONE SUPPORT SESSIONS

If you've already completed a full NVR programme but feel like you've lost your way, or if your children have moved into a new developmental stage since you completed the training and you're not sure what it all means for you right now, then one to one support session might be the most helpful way forward. It might be that you aren't sure if NVR is right for your situation and you want some help to unpick that, or you need some help with a particular issue that you're feeling stuck with.

Parents and carers are welcome to book just one session, or a block of sessions. I'm happy to provide support face to face local to Whitley Bay, over the phone, or online.

FULL NVR GROUP COURSES

I can deliver the full NVR programme as a group course. Sessions are usually two hours long and  take place weekly. Courses can be delivered during the day, in the evening, or at weekends. The course is specifically tailored to support parents and carers of children who have experienced early adversity and would be particularly useful for foster carers, adopters, special guardians, and kinship carers. It's great if all the adults in a home can be part of the sessions, but not necessary. Single parents and carers are very welcome to bring a friend along to sessions at no extra cost.

Group courses work best with at least 6 people and no more than 15 people. This allows some room for tailoring the course content to the specific needs of the group.

WORKSHOPS

I can put together and deliver a range of workshops according to the needs of the service. All workshops draw on and incorporate the principles of non-violent resistence

Some 'off the shelf' workshops include:

 - parenting children with a trauma history

 - managing sibling relationships

 - building resilience

 - navigating the system as a parent or carer

 - new authority parenting

Please get in touch if you think I can help.
