Self compassion

The great thing about self compassion is it allows us to accept ourselves as we are while we openly acknowledge where we've still got work to do.

We can take responsibility for our mistakes & initiate repair because we can mindfully acknowledge small amounts of shame for our parenting mistakes without being overwhelmed by shame.

It's great role-modelling for our kids to see us navigate & narrate shame management. Cultivating self compassion is hard but it’s so worth the effort.
