Happy New Year from one courageous parent to another.
This year, I’ve seen so much quiet courage - tough decisions that needed to be made, hard conversations that needed to be had, limits that needed to be set, boundaries that need to be held.
Keeping going when things feel risky, hopeless, distressing. Containing and scaffolding when it isn’t appreciated, when it triggers hurtful and hateful words, when it triggers aggression, sometimes violence.
I just want to say how proud I am of your courage.
Here’s to a new year filled with hope, connection, and the belief that you are enough, just as you are, and that what you’re doing is enough.
I’m here cheering you on.
I’m cheering us all on.
